Through this presentation, I discuss one of my favorite games of all time.
A Landmark for Video Games
Chrono Trigger was a landmark for not only the RPG genre, but video games as a whole. Chrono Trigger was very ahead of its time, creating certain mechanics that we take for granted in modern games. On a technical level, it far surpassed what people thought was possible on the SNES. Its position and time based battle system made battles more engaging than ever before within the RPG genre. And, most notably, was one of the first games where the choices of the player actually affected the game's narrative. Throughout the years it has been regarded as one of the best games ever created due to how it changed the way everyone viewed the gaming medium.
